John Kinner
John "Johnny" Kinner, 51, of Shenadoah Junction, W.Va., formerly of Buena Vista, Elizabeth Township, died unexpectedly in a tragic accident Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011. Born Feb. 16, 1960, he was a beloved son of Charles E. and Dorothy A. (Vovolka) Kinner, of Elizabeth Township.
He worked in construction as a pipe layer and was employed by Satterfield Enterprises of Thurmont, Md. He will be deeply missed by family and friends who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion/partner of 22 years, Virginia "Diane" Kerns, with whom he resided.
Brother, Charles D. (Cheryl) Kinner, of Buena Vista; uncles, Richard D. (Mary) McWilliams, of West Mifflin, and Terry McVay, of Martinez, Calif.; nephews, Ronald M. Kinner, of Buena Vista, Steven Kinner, of Greenock, Elizabeth Township, and Brian Kinner, of Buena Vista; niece, Alisha Kinner, of Buena Vista; ex-sister-in-law, Vicki Gantt Kinner, also of Buena Vista; and numerous cousins. John was preceded in death by his older brother, Ronald D. Kinner, who passed away Aug. 14, 2009.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until to 2 p.m. Monday, when a blessing service will be will be held, in the RALPH L. JOHNSON FUNERAL HOME, 3411 Wood St., Buena Vista, PA 15018. Service will be held by Father Thomas Wagner. Interment in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to be forwarded to the funeral home.
